DESCRIPTION: APW - Illinois, Bunn Special with rare Santa Fe railroad logo dial, 21J 60 Hour, Type III marking, 16S, gold-filled OF Bunn Special model case, Montgomery white enamel SS dial, SW-LS, fully capped lever escapement, rayed pattern nickel damascene, s#5146292. A very rare railroad marked dial, we've only seen a handful of examples of this Illinois Santa Fe logo style. From the collection of Charlie Winters.
CONDITION: Mvt: NR, fully wound and will tick briefly with a twist and occasionally will continue on for some minutes or more, overhaul needed, nearly mint cosmetic mvt condition overall, bright lustrous surfaces with few fine to micro-fine scratches, regulator spring with few small bits of oxide near its base; dial with group of fractures and hls at perimeter between 11 and 12, small surface flake at 8 to the left side of the 40 minute numeral with surrounding perimeter hls, perimeter hls at 4:30; fair hands, blue hour and minute with ample oxide, plum colored seconds-hand with some finish loss to tail; case shows very little wear, some abrasions and profuse fine to micro-fine scratches to rear, few scattered small nicks; tight bow, crown shows very little wear; glass crystal with few small scratches, small finish imperfection of a bubble at upper perimeter.
